Birthday Month

I know I haven't blogged in a year and now I'm blogging more than once in a week and putting way too many pictures on. Oh well. Maddie turned four on Feb. 3rd! I can't believe another year has gone by. Phoebe and Kylie's is Friday. We celebrated all of their birthdays on the 1st. Superbowl Sunday. Don't judge. We did this last year too. I think we will be able to do it a few more years, but I know Kylie is going to catch on eventually that she really doesn't want her birthday celebrated while watching the Superbowl. The cake is green because Maddie wanted yellow frosting and Kylie blue they compromised by mixing the colors and voila green. Bonnie and Justin came over and we had a good time. In the evening they got to open a present from Aunt Kelsey which they love and play with everyday. It was a Hello Kitty helicopter and ambulance. They already have the airplane from my mom. I forgot to take pics.

On Maddie's real Birthday I let her pick what she wanted to do for the day. First thing she wanted for breakfast: cereal. I have been trying not to do cereal for breakfast and I knew that's what she would want. Then she wanted to watch morning cartoons because I never (ok hardly ever) let them watch them until Phoebe's nap. Then they had their first swim lessons at YMCA. No one else signed up at our time so we have private lessons-score! They love them. At first Mads didn't want to get in the water, but I told her she had to because I already paid. Once she got in she was fine. They love them. After swim she wanted to do a picnic at the park. In the afternoon their Aunt Jinky came over and spoiled her with a present. (This lady is out of control she brings them Christmas and birthday presents. She is in primary with me and one of the most amazing women ever) To celebrate that night she got to go to the Blue & Gold dinner for Cub Scouts. (Since I'm over them in primary) It was fine though because it was a minion theme and they had cake and balloons.

When got back from that we had the young men at our house to make cross bows. I made Ky run inside to watch her open presents. I told them they were only getting books from now on for their birthdays. Of course that didn't happen. In the morning she got 2 new dresses, a box of band-aids, a small hippo toy that you pull, and a bottle of nail polish. That night she opened her two books: The Napping House and Hiccupotomus.

Cute mailboxes that Bonnie made for them.

Don't you love Mads hair in this. Waiting for their first swim lesson. Pictures from here on are from Maddie's actual birthday.

After pool hair a little more tamed lol.

Excited to open her present. Steven is on the floor Jinky's son.

Just because you have to blow candles out on your real birthday. (Leftovers from Blue & Gold) They did not get to bed early that night.
