Halloween!

And finally Halloween Day! We did trick or treat in downtown Redlands. All the stores pass out candy. From there we went to some friends in our ward who live in the historic district. (They get on average 2000 trick or treaters). They have people over for soup and we each brought a bag of candy to help with the treating. It was awesome. It was such a fun Halloween!
Before the start of the festivities:)
Down town.

After trick or treating before bed. Mads only lasted till after down town then she wanted nothing to do with her costume. Kylie on the other hand went trick or treating again and loved every minute.

Doing silly poses.

We took her hair out and she said she had curly hair like me and Maddie. I called it her princess Aurora hair.

Happy Halloween!

Kyle...your Majesty

The Friday of our Trunk or Treat Kyle's school had homecoming. He was asked to sing the National Anthem at the Home Coming pep rally. The girls and I went to hear him. He did a great job. I forgot how loud pep rally's are. We stayed for about 3/4s of it. Loud is an understatement. The seats were vibrating. It was nice in the fact when the girls started to lose it. No one could even hear it. It was fun to see Kyle at work. He was also asked by the ASB students to be the Grand Marshal in the parade. During the pep rally he was dressed as a King sitting up high with the Queen (who just happened to be the principal). The girls thought their dad was pretty cool. Later in the day we went and cheered for him in the parade and then onto Trunk or treat. It was such a fun day.

Enjoying some loot from the parade.

Trunk or Treat. I know my costume is lame. I was lazy this year. Threw on an apron and put some cooking utensils in my pockets and voila you have a chef.  Kylie was a butterfly ballerina, Mads take a guess. (I was looking at the pictures and realized that she is scandalous in most of them. oh well.) Phoebe of course a banana. Her costume did not last long considering it was 80 degrees.

We invited our friends the Holtons. We had a good time together.

Preschool Field Trip

The next few posts will cover Halloween stuff. Kylie's Preschool class had a field trip to the pumpkin patch. We had such a fun time. They did a tractor ride, picked out some pumpkins, learned about bee's making honey, hay maze, and enjoyed some animals.
Tractor ride.

Mads got her face dirty when she tripped and fell after picking out her pumpkin.
Learning about bees. We got to sample the honey from their bees. I forgot to get a picture of these hard little workers.

Trying to get a picture of her class proved to be a challenge:)

I think this was the best one.

Kylie making sure Phoebe doesn't jump of the bench.
