Spring Break!

This was a wonderful week because Kyle had Spring Break. It was so nice to have him around all day everyday. We packed a ton into the week (maybe too much), but it was great. Let's see....we went to Knott's, planted a garden, went to the San Diego Wild Life Park, celebrated Easter, and relaxed!

We decided to get Knott's Berry Farm passes this year since Maddie and Phoebe are free. It is so worth it. They have great rides for kids and it is way cheaper than Disney Land. So if anyone decides to come to So. Cal get Knott's tickets instead of Disney and we can go with you!

Kyle did most all the work on the garden. We went and picked out plants with him and the girl's dug holes in the dirt while he planted. We all had fun. We planted tomatoes, bell peppers, and herbs. We decided to do just a few plants since we don't know how long we will be here.

Bonnie home schools her kids and always gets us amazing deals because of it. We payed $27 bucks for our whole family to go to the Wild Life Park and it usually costs $50 per person. However, I did not enjoy it in the least. We did this on Friday after an already fun filled week. I think I bit off more than I could chew with a 6 wk old baby. It seemed like Phoebe wanted to eat every hour. This might not have been a problem if I was one of those people who could nurse anywhere...I am definitely not like that. So I ran...ok jogged to the car every time she needed to eat. The park was BIG. Needless to say I did get a good workout in. By the last feeding I was so tired and emotionally spent I started crying. This lady noticed our situation and came and told me they had a nursing station in a bathroom by the front entrance. She told me she had been in my shoes before. At this point it was so close to the car I just went back to the car. What a nice lady. I did feel a little better after talking to her. The night before I only got 4 hours of sleep so that didn't help the situation. I don't do well with little sleep. Luckily the girls had fun and that's what I was going for.

We celebrated Easter yesterday and had a lot of fun with candy, eggs, and family. Today we decided to just stay home and relax. Best decision ever! The primary sang in Sacrament today and when they told the kids to go up Kylie was the first one up. She was so excited. I was in the cultural hall watching trying to hold off Phoebe so I could watch Kylie. I didn't even know she knew the song, but I heard her loud and clear sing every word. I was so proud of her. She definitely Loves to sing and does most her practicing in the bathroom:)

Here are some pictures:

Mads is next to Kyle I promise.
They had so many baby elephants they were my second favorite. My favorite was the butterfly exhibit. You walked in and butterflies were everywhere. One landed on my shoulder. I didn't get any pictures because Phoebe was crying so I walked briskly through and tried to capture the moment in memory.

Easter Dresses from Grandma Morty!

Just a random pic. of Phoebe today. She has already changed so much!

Phoebe's 1st day of Church:)

I'm bored can we get this over with.
We are still working on the smile...she likes the serious look.
Does this count as her first wave?

Phoebe: "Just hold on tight" I love Maddie's hair in this.
"Cheeeeeeeese!"

Big girl bed!

We finally put Mad's in a big girl bed. We have had some late nights...and not because of a new baby. Maddie only comes out a few hundred times. And when she is not coming out she is jumping on Kylie's bed having a great time. Tonight was the third night...I think it was all quiet by 8:40 PM. The first night it was 10 something. We are going in the right direction. Kyle and I decided that Maddie must not need as much sleep. Even when she had her own room sleeping in the crib we could here her talking to herself for a couple hours before she would fall asleep and then she would be the first one up. Kylie on the other hand hits her pillow and is out. She definitely needs more sleep. We decided to cut out Maddie's nap as well. Today at dinner we had spaghetti and while she was waiting for me to come wipe her off her head started bobbing and she almost fell asleep. We'll see what happens.

Random side note. For the last while when I talk I tend to only say the first part of a word. For example if I need some pepperoni from the store I would say: "Ky, could you go and get me some peps from the store." and then he would get upset (not really) and say: "Just say the whole word you are going to mess up our children." Well the other day Kyle was out working in the yard and the girls were out with him. Kylie had hurt her knee a few days earlier. In our house we call them boo boos. So Kyle had come close to Kylie for something and Kylie said: "Daddy watch out for my boobs!" When he told me I almost died laughing. I guess I better watch out. Others in my fam do the same thing I had to warn them. Kira said Jeffrey is already saying butt for butter. Hopefully our kids will turn out ok.

Ky tucked in the blanket tight in hopes to trap her. We did end up tying their door shut with some rope and it seemed to solve the problem of Maddie coming out. (don't judge)
Of course Kylie needed a picture.

St. Patrick's Day!

1 Month....Already?!

Here are some 1 month pics as well as some funny bath pictures of Kylie and Mads.

This one cracks me up:)
Kylie of course wanted to be in the pics too. I love her smile.

Kylie wanted a picture of her foot. Maddie was taking her nap that's why she is not in the pics.
