Trip to UT

Last post I promise! This past weekend I flew to UT to celebrate Kelsey's 30th birthday. I went by myself...you heard me by myself! Ky took work off and Aunt Bonnie helped Monday! I don't think the girls were sad at all they had Dad to themselves and were ecstatic to spend the night at Aunt Bonnie's. The trip was absolutely awesome. Kelsey and Simon rented a house in Park City that was amazing. It was weird and amazing to be by myself. I slept in and took a nap and enjoyed my nieces and nephew. I had a little too much fun. When I came back I told Kyle I want to move back to UT (I'm serious). It was so fun to be with family. We will see if that is in our future. Plus I reminded him that he has two brothers there as well. He is not sold yet. Of course I have hardly any pictures (I was having too much fun). These are some from my phone. I got some in the airplane for my girls and a couple of baby B.

A few I forgot from the train ride.

Leaving Cali.

Somewhere in between.

The snow capped mountains of UT!

Provo Temple in progress. It's so pretty!

Beautiful drive to Park City.

Little Tokyo

We are now studying Japan. We took a field trip to Little Tokyo and rode the Metro to LA (I was so glad I didn't have to drive). I think that was the girls favorite part. They loved not having to buckle up!

Our first stop was the Japanese American National Museum.
Girls learning some origami.

Finished product.
Our museum guide was awesome she really held the younger kids attention (the older kids had their own tour). They were checking out some clothing.

She told them a Japanese story that was pretty awesome.

You can't tell in this picture, but Phoebe was throwing a tantrum. I missed most of the tour and had to take her out several times. She really wanted food, but now food was allowed in the museum. Luckily some wonderful ladies came to my rescue and watched Mads and Kylie while I dealt with Pheebs! She also was rolling on the ground. I ignored her and pretended I had know idea whose daughter she was.

Of course we had to eat some Japanese food for lunch!

We went for some miso ramen and udon noodles.
They said it was way better then the store bought ramen.

This little rascal!

Udon noodles. (we had way too much food)
The girls really wanted me to get them these umbrellas I opted for the picture. I'm such a mean mom.

A beautiful Japanese garden. It was peaceful I think until our group came:)

The knot statue. (can't remember what it represents)

Some monuments.

At the end of our day we stopped by Olvera Street (precursor for Mexico). Of course there was some people playing music and Phoebe couldn't help going out and dancing. Kylie and Mads were too chicken.

Back to Union Station for our ride home. We were tired after this day, but had so much fun!
