January?

I'm not joking when I say it was a high of 84 degrees on this day. What?! We are loving it and spending lots of time outside playing and going on walks. The girls got this wagon for Christmas.

Maddie 11 Months!!!!

Where has the time gone! I can't believe next month my baby will be one (and my other baby will be 3)! Mads started pulling herself up on things and has been eating more regular food. She still has no teeth! She has a lot of nick names. Kylie's favorite is Madders. I use Mads a lot and every now and then we use Maddie. Oh yeah and there is Maddie Moo Moo which gets shortened to Moo Moo we like this one.

Wrap up of 2011

Hmmmm let's see where to begin...

It has been a pretty crazy year for the Johnson family, but I'm sure every family is thinking that their year was crazy as well. Madeline Zoe decided to join our family February 3rd even though I was really hoping for Groundhogs day. I had a great (I don't know if great is the right word) labor and delivery. We all had to transition from being a family of 3 to a family of 4. It took Kylie a little while to get used to the idea. She loves it now and is always wanting Maddie to play with her.

Kyle:

At the end of February or beginning of March we found out Kyle lost his job :( (definitely not in our plans). Because of this we had some serious decisions to make one of them being to move to California. We really think that is the reason he lost his job. We were pretty comfortable in Utah and probably would have stayed there another 3-5 years (we loved it!) From March to July Kyle applied to many, many jobs. We (I) knew we were supposed to move to Yucaipa, CA and so he applied to jobs within an hour commute. We went to CA to look and talk to people and then he went a couple of more times. During this time I was really stressing and not trusting Heavenly Father very much, however I had some experiences that brought me comfort. Right before Kyle went to California for the third time I went to the Temple. While I was in the Celestial room waiting to do initiatorys I felt prompted to read 1 Nephi chapter 3 (The story of the brass plates). As I read it I felt like this was Ky and I. A few differences of course, We were prompted to go to CA they were prompted to go and get the plates. The first try of getting the plates Laman went and talked to Laban which did not work. Our 1st trip to CA Ky went to different districts to talk with principals and get his name out there. We came back without a job.

The second time Nephi and his brothers gathered all their gold and all their silver and tried to use that in exchange for the plates. Guess what...didn't work. Kyle went up the second time payed to get a preliminary license and got an interview, but didn't get the job.

The 3rd and last time Nephi was led by the spirit not knowing before hand what he should do and it worked, he killed Laban and was able to get the plates. The Lord provided a WAY! After reading this chapter I knew Kyle would come home with a job and that the job he would get would be the one he was supposed to be at. I was filled with peace from then on and it has worked out. Does Kyle have his dream job-no. Does Kyle have a job-yes. We know we are where we need to be. I look at Nephi and his family in the Wilderness, not a walk in the park, but it took them to the promise land. I know we are on the path to our promise land. Kyle is learning a lot and loving being back in CA.

Me:

Working on the transition. I love our new ward and calling. Kyle and I co-teach the 13 turning 14 years old for Sunday School. It is a blast. I have worked really hard at getting back in shape and am half way there. I love being at home with my girls and watching how they grow. I am working at making friends (way hard) and know with time it will happen. Overall 2011 was a good year for me...I am planning on 2012 being the best year of my life (that's my goal).

Kylie:

Is talking a ton and is so independent. She LOVES to pray and gets upset when we tell her it isn't her turn. She is not a picky eater in the least and will eat whatever I put on her plate. She loves playing outside, blowing bubbles, painting, playing with Mads, watching movies, and helping me clean. She is a great big sister.

Mads:

She is growing too fast. I can't believe she will be a year next month. She started pulling herself up and can crawl normal now. She likes to be where ever Kylie is and has started to get into more things. She is a pretty chill baby and makes my life easy.

Goodbye 2011 Hello 2012!
